Teeny Violini is a mobile music education program for preschools and early learning centers that promotes social and emotional wellness through creative expression. We use music as a nurturing tool to help students discover their voice, express themselves, escape into their imagination, and become emotionally healthy well-rounded people. The Teeny Violini Curriculum uses the Colorful Violin method, and early learning approach to engaging students in music through literacy, shapes and colors. 

Position Overview

Teeny Violini is seeking a Marketing Specialist to support the organization’s ongoing marketing efforts, social media presence, and event promotion. This is a part-time position (15-20 hours per week) ideal for a creative, detail-oriented professional with experience in social media management, content creation, and digital marketing.

Tasks

- Visit at least two sites per week to capture photos, videos, and testimonials (sites must be rotated).

- Develop and schedule social media content for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter (X), YouTube, Linkedin and other platforms.

- Create engagement visual and written content (posts, stories, reels, graphics) using Canva, and other tools.

- Design and manage flyers, banners, and promotional materials as needed, including program booklets, annual reports and other necessary items.

- Develop and distribute monthly newsletters highlighting Teeny Violini’s impact, upcoming events, and community stories.

- Track and report social media performance metrics to assess engagement and adjust strategies.

- Respond to comments and messages on social media to foster community engagement.

- Maintain and update the Teeny Violini website via the CRM/portal.

- Assist in expanding Teeny Violini’s email list and social media following.

- Attend all Teeny Violini events (e.g. professional development, community events, annual gala) to capture high quality content.

- Participate in weekly admin meetings to discuss progress, metrics, and content strategies.

- Track hours using the Sling App and document completed tasks via the Task List in Google Sheets.

Responsibilities

- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy for Teeny Violini’s brand awareness and audience engagement.

- Maintain a monthly content calendar (planned in advance) to ensure consistency across all marketing channels.

- Create and automate email marketing campaigns to engage audiences and communicate important updates.

- Regularly source and repurpose past content to ensure consistency in branding and messaging.

- Ensure marketing efforts align with Teeny Violini’s mission and resonate with target audiences.

- Organize and update contact lists and records in Smart Web, ensuring proper categorization and assignments.

- Manage event marketing efforts, including promotion of the Teeny Violini Gala and Teeny Festival, (May/June 2025) and other community events.

- Maintain communication with Teaching Artists to collect content and highlight their work.

- Oversee the ordering of marketing materials, ensuring they are approved by HR before purchases.

- Research and implement new social media trends and engagement strategies to improve visibility.

Preferred Qualifications 

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field.

- 1-2 years of experience in marketing, content creation, or social media management.

- Strong understanding of social media trends, engagement strategies, and brand storytelling.

- Experience with content creation tools (e.g., Canva—required, Adobe Spark, Photoshop, or similar).

- Strong written communication skills for engaging and impactful content creation.

- High level of proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and willingness to learn new software.

- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects.

- Passion for music, the arts, or non-profit event promotion is a plus.

- Must provide own equipment for capturing photos and videos.

- Must pass a background check and obtain a vendor badge to visit sites.

Benefits & Compensation

- $20-$25 per hour

- Bi-weekly travel stipend
