Job Title: Research & Writing Intern

Location: Hybrid (90% Remote)

Type: Part-Time Internship 

Hours & Duration: 10-15 hours per week, December 2023 - March 2024

Company Overview

Teeny Violini is a mobile music education program for preschools and early learning centers that promotes social and emotional wellness through creative expression. We use music as a nurturing tool to help students discover their voice, express themselves, escape into their imagination, and become emotionally healthy well-rounded people. The Teeny Violini Curriculum uses the Colorful Violin method, and early learning approach to engaging students in music through literacy, shapes and colors.

Position Overview 

The Research & Writing Intern will be an integral part of our team, contributing to our growth and impact through a three-month, part-time internship. This position focuses on conducting extensive research for grants that align with our company’s goals and objectives, crafting persuasive grant proposals, and spearheading school recruitment efforts for our music programming. 

Tasks & Responsibilities 

- Conduct comprehensive research for grants relevant to the company's goals and objectives.

- Draft compelling grant proposals to secure resources crucial for our initiatives.

- Lead outreach and recruitment efforts to engage schools interested in our music programming.

- Stay up-to-date with changes in grant requirements and assist in updating policies accordingly.

- Participate in projects and initiatives aimed at expanding the organization's reach.

- Help with organizing and archiving documents in a systematic manner.

- Support the implementation of an electronic filing system for enhanced efficiency.

- Provide support for the administrative team as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher.

- Strong research and writing skills with the ability to gather and articulate ideas effectively.

- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Docs and related platforms.

Working Conditions

- This is a part-time internship position, offering a flexible hybrid work arrangement, with both on site and remote work options.

- Must be able to sit for long periods of time in front of a computer. 

- Must have a reliable computer and internet connection to remote work. 

Compensation

- Stipend provided upon successful completion of internship and assigned projects.

- Hands-on experience in recruitment, research and grant writing.
